Terms and conditions are for you to read and understand before taking the car.
FUEL:
Vehicles are delivered with full tanks and should be returned the same way to Bloem Rent A Car.
EXTENSION OF AGREEMENT:
Should you wish to extend your rental agreement, you need to contact Bloem Rent A Car 24 hours before your existing contract expires.
FINES & PENALTIES:
The Client is liable for payment of traffic fines and offences that occur during the rental period of the vehicle. Bloem Rent A Car may debit your account up to 24 months after the rental return date to cover costs for Traffic Fines according to Terms & Conditions
Speeding recorded by our installed GPS tracker will be deemed to be reckless driving.
There is a fine of R5000 for tempering with kilometers and the renter will be blacklisted from BRC. In addition, you will FORFEIT your deposit.
DEPOSITS & REFUNDS:
The renter must be in possession of a valid driver’s license that they have held for more than 2 years, if not, the rental deposit will be an additional R1500 to the normal deposit amount.
Deposits are refunded 48 hours from the time of return once all inspections have been done on the vehicle. All refunds are done via EFT on weekdays only and not on weekends as they tend to take a longer time to reflect.
RETURNS RESTRICTIONS:
A full day will be charged on a vehicle that is returned 2 hours later than the agreed time. A vehicle not paid for will have no free kilometers, will be collected without notice and the deposit will be forfeited.
AGE RESTRICTION:
A driver needs to be 25 years or older, if not, the rental deposit will be R2000 in addition to the normal deposit on the vehicle.
RETURN CONDITIONS:
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as collected. Our vehicles must be washed at a car wash. There will be a fine of R150 or even R300 fine for muddy conditions upon return of the car. A vehicle returned with deep scratches and dents will result in the renter’s deposit being forfeited. A full inspection is done before the vehicle is released and after the vehicle is returned. A 360 degree inspection is done using a video recording and same is sent to the renter for their records.
The use of alcohol and/or drugs is prohibited whilst in the use and possession of the rented vehicle. Smoking in the rented vehicle is also strictly forbidden. The Renter shall be liable for the necessary cleaning fees and reimburse LCR for all costs incurred to eliminate such odours and the loss of rental days of the Rental Vehicle.
AUTHORIZED DRIVER:
The Rental Vehicle shall only be driven by the Renter and/or any other person(s) who has been authorised by Bloem Rent A Car and added to the Agreement.
The renter is liable for any damages or loss during their rental period. The rented vehicle will be collected and deposit forfeited if this is not adhered to.
